DACHSER Singapore attains STP certification and upgrades bonded warehouse license
DACHSER Singapore has recently achieved certification under the Secure Trade Partnership (STP) by Singapore Customs, reinforcing its commitment to excellence in supply chain security and compliance. The company will also offer additional enhancement to customers with Licensed Warehouse Schedule Type II.
The STP certification stands as a testament to DACHSER Singapore’s dedication to implementing high standards of security and compliance measures, adhering to best practices within the logistics and supply chain industry. With this strengthened collaboration with Singapore Customs, the company is committed to reinforce Singapore status as a key transshipment hub.
Moreover, the upgrade to Licensed Warehouse Schedule Type II allows DACHSER Singapore to store both dutiable and non-dutiable goods, and enables the company to offer value-added services.
By attaining the "Enhanced" level for the TradeFIRST assessment to qualify for the STP, DACHSER Singapore has strengthened its capability to provide expedited customs clearance in Singapore as well as in countries and regions with Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRA), including Australia, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, United States, and Vietnam. Under an MRA, Singapore and its partners recognize each other's standards and certifications, allowing goods and services meeting one country's requirements to be accepted in the other without additional testing, reducing costs for businesses.
“With the certification of STP, upgrade of bonded warehouse license to Type II, as well as the attainment of the “Enhanced” level, DACHSER Singapore reaffirms its position as a trusted partner in the global trade community and its dedication to exceeding industry standards,” said Kitty Teo, Managing Director of Air & Sea Logistics Singapore and Malaysia.
