DACHSER Singapore moves office to a prime location

DACHSER Singapore recently moved to the reputable Synergy premise at International Business Park (IBP) in Jurong District.

The new office was inaugurated today, March 29, 2019, during a festive opening ceremony. Together with the existing airport office and the company’s warehouse facilities, DACHSER Singapore is well set up to meet the logistics requirements of international corporations.

The new facility is strategically located at the International Business Park in Jurong in the western part of the aspiring city-state. The spacious and light-flooded office is not only giving room for 46 DACHSER Singapore employees. It is also the home base for DACHSER Asia Pacific’s key account management team.

The IBP area is well-connected with the city and airport while being geographically close to Tuas Megaport. The newest Singapore container port is the second largest of its kind in the world and has specifically been designed for the new 22.000 TEU mega vessels. DACHSER, having set its sea freight gateway for Asia Pacific in Singapore, is capitalizing on the city-state’s infrastructure and strategic location within the region to serve global supply chains.

Many important business associations and multinational companies strategically position themselves at IBP.

"We are now in excellent company"

Singapore is the fourth largest exporter of electronics globally and is therefore not only home to numerous high-tech and technology players but also a broad variety of international corporations.

“Many important business associations and multinational companies strategically position themselves at IBP,” explains Frank Stadus, Managing Director Air & Sea Logistics Singapore. “As a global logistics player with German roots, we are now in excellent company. The new location enhances personal dialogue with our customers and significantly contributes to providing excellent service in the DACHSER sense,” he added.

Customer service excellence is a main pillar of DACHSER’s market approach. While the company’s IT strategy has been focusing on the digitalization of standard logistics processes for more than 30 years, the logistics service provider commits to personal and individual customer service.

“At DACHSER, we are well aware that logistics is people’s business,” Stadus gives reference to the strategy of his company. “My team and I are highly committed to this philosophy and look forward to engaging in dialogue with our business partners. This is the best way to define optimal solutions, consisting of digitalized standard processes and individual services that reflect customers complexities,” he adds.

The new office marks another milestone for DACHSER in South East Asia.

“We are on a well-planned track of continuous network development in the economically important ASEAN countries,” said Christophe Vincent, Managing Director Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam. “Our new offices and motivated teams are an important cornerstone for driving the expansion of our service portfolio for the benefit of our customers, like LCL or cross-border trucking,” he added.

Regular LCL (less than container load) connections, with Singapore serving as sea freight gateway for the Asia Pacific region, enable plannable cargo handling not only within Intra-Asia but also between Europe, Asia and vice versa. Cross-border trucking services complement connectivity between Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand to drive commerce between the three countries.

“Reliability strikes in today’s business environment,” Stadus said. “At DACHSER Singapore, we are perfectly equipped to offer robust global supply chain solutions for our customers,” he concludes.
